Wind farm Desselgem is operational after a successful test run.

Wind farm Desselgem

After a successful test run of 240 hours, the Storm wind farm in Desselgem is all set to produce plenty of green energy.

The wind farm consists of 2 wind turbines with a tip height of 150 metres. The wind farm will produce enough green power to meet the energy needs of about 2850 Flemish families.

Wind farm Desselgem

Operational

Situated in the industrial area Schoendale on the river Lys and bordering with Wielsbeke in West Flanders, this wind farm has been operational since Spring 2016. Today, it already produces enough renewable energy to meet the needs of about 3.150 Flemish families. Here, 264 local residents have chosen to participate in the Storm CV cooperative in their municipality.
